Rutledge Foundation

Here are some copy samples from my time working at the Rutledge Foundation. The facts, if any are present, may be dated as this was written years ago. In addition I wrote emails to prospective clients.

The Rutledge Foundation exists to bring awareness to over 1 million young adults with cancer. And, we are committed to finding curative treatments for sarcomas, one of the most aggressive cancers in teens and young adults. We are dedicated to caring for these Young Adults as they go through a trying time in their lives. We hope you will spend time learning more about these pressing needs and how you can be involved.

Cancer is the leading cause of non-accidental death in young adults and has increased over 50% over the last 30 years. The normal challenges facing teens and young adults are numerous: school, relationships, graduating, college, job, independence, starting a family, and security, to name a few.

 

Where does a teen or young adult with cancer go for treatment, for guidance and for support? The answer is not simple, and there are many questions that need to be asked:

For these reasons the Rutledge Foundation is committed to supporting education, early detection, and advancing research that lead to new treatments in improving, the care, quality of life, and long term survival of millions of young adults with cancer.

​

​Huge advances have been made in pediatric and adult cancers. Now is the time to give focus and attention to the most promising and productive members of our society.

​

​Their voices need to be heard, their hopes and dreams achieved, their cancers conquered.
